Equal Employment Opportunities
CDI is committed to equal employment opportunity. We will not discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on any legally recognized basis including, but not limited to: race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
As part of our commitment to nondiscrimination and equal employment opportunity, CDI is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to the known physical or mental limitations of qualified applicants or employees with disabilities, unless the accommodation would impose an undue hardship on employer. Specifically, CDI provides reasonable accommodations to ensure equal employment opportunity in the application process, to enable a qualified individual with a disability to perform the essential functions of the job, and to enable an employee with a disability to enjoy equal benefits and privileges of employment. CDI cannot make an accommodation unless it is aware of the need. It is primarily the responsibility of the applicant or employee with a disability to inform employer that an accommodation is needed.
Our approach to partnering with Small Woman Minority Owned Businesse Enterprises (SWMBE) is the first step of providing fair and nondiscriminatory employment opportunities for subcontractors as well as our in-house workforce. Our SWMBE subcontracting plan has four key elements: Intentional Minority Subcontracting, Mentoring of Minority- and Women-Owned Firms, Intentional Minority Recruitment, and K-12 STEM Pipeline Development. These programs have enabled us to attain SWMBE participation rates as high as 65% on our projects.
Our goal is to ensure that the diversity of our project delivery staff mirrors the diversity of the communities in which we live.
